The following filters will fit the V-series motors:
Honda 15410 MJO-004
Honda 15410 MM9-003
Hastings LF146
Hastings LF402
Wix 51334
Fram PH6010A
Other filters may fit as well, Hastings list the LF402 as a replacement for the following:
Fram PH3807A, Napa 1344, Purolator L14459, Subaru 15208-AA030, Wix 51334 and for one of the Honda filters, I believe it was the MJO-004.
I have used the Honda MJO--004, Hastings LF402 and the Wix 51334 filters with no noticeable problems. Locally the Wix filters are about half the price of Hondas.
